RECONSTRUCTION OF CERAMIC OBJECTS – TEATR KOMEDIA, WARSAW
25.07.2013
In July we carried out a reconstruction work of ceramic elements at the Teatr Komedia theater in Warsaw. The task we were entrusted with comprised of reconstructing gilded fragments of ceramic decoration found on the theater’s walls.

TTeatr Komedia was designed in 1937 by a brilliant Polish architect Prof. Stanisław Brukalski. From 1954 it formed an integral part of the WSM housing complex of the Warsaw Żoliborz, one of the city’s oldest districts. In the 50s, the theater’s octagonal auditorium received a rich ceramic decoration, designed and produced by Helena and Lech Grześkiewicz.

In 2010 the theater was entered into the register of objects of cultural heritage and is under protection.
